The Next New Thing!

Picture this: Imagine a machine that allows you to lay down to transport you mentally to a virtually simulated world just like ours. In addition, you are able to interact with people virtually designed to behave the same as us. This machine can transport you to places such as Paris, Hawaii, Japan, Argentina, or wherever your vacation goals are located. Physically, your body would remain inside the machine but your mind and body can move in the virtual place you would like to visit. It's like a dream that you can fully control and sign on or off anytime. Multiplayers can be involved if they also have the same machine. A long distance relationship couple can both meet each other in this virtual world and go on dates. Although this might take a long time to develop, with technology constantly improve year by year, our future inventors can come up with this product.

  1. That would be amazing to see and kinda reminds me of Avatar as well. I honestly think it won't be too long before something like this is developed. I though virtual headsets were amazing and groundbreaking when they first came out but recently read that some people think it's only just the beginning. Hopefully if they do happen to develop this technology, they can apply it to so many different applications like virtual classrooms, training sessions and even dating like you mentioned. Let's just hope people don't over use it and loose their sense of reality as well.

  2. This sounds very similar to the virtual reality that is available today. You can just wear an oculus rift device and you will almost feel like you are in the place of the game or whatever part of the world that you want. They haven't developed VR for multiplayer, hopefully soon enough we will start seeing VR blend in with our regular life.

  3. This is a really cool idea especially because it allows you to interact with others with more than just words. It also makes traveling and visiting other countries much cheaper and more accessible.
